I was so very excited to cross Melvyna with a Shillelagh son. Mattea was a late spring kid who stuck around. The next year, her dam died from kidding complications, so keeping Mattea made sense. She developed into an incredibly dairy doe, with a beautifully secure mammary system, especially high and wide in the rear arch. Like many in this line, she is just getting more beautiful with age.
