For 2021, we freshened 15 does. We had 10 does confirmed to kid in March, and continued with the other 5 does into the summer. We participated in DHIR and DNA typing this year. Our show schedule started in May, and we hit shows once a month through September (CO, WY). Linear Appraisal was possible for us in October, and we were thrilled to be a part of that program. I am so excited about our entire crop of milking yearlings, and this year's kids from Sonny and Laureate were outstanding!
2021 Awards
As I amend this in August of 2020, we can all agree that external events have not gone as anticipated. We have made it to two shows so far, and are participating in DHIR as well. It is STILL a great year! We are looking forward to a great year for goats in 2020. We are set to freshen as many as 20 does, and attend several shows, participate in ADGA Plus, and just enjoy our goats! We will see what the year holds. 2020 kids were weighted heavily toward bucks.
2020 Awards
In 2019, we cut back our show schedule significantly, as we had a new baby at our house. We also chose to keep many dry yearlings and older does to reduce the chore load for the year. We showed at the Wyoming State Fair and the Black Hills Dairy Goat Association show in Sundance, WY.

2018 Show Awards
This year we were very pleased to attend the ADGA National Show in Madison, WI, taking along several youth from the Black Hills area. We had a strong showing, and really enjoyed ourselves. We also made it to several other shows. We were pleased that Tigress, Trumpcard's dam, joined our herd, and placed 4th at Nationals. Also, Magnolia placed 3rd as a junior kid at Nationals.
2017 Show Awards
In 2016, we had 17 does total to freshen from March to May. It was very helpful to see so many first fresheners, and to get to use udders to make culling decisions. We also had 23/32 doe kids, so we had a lot of great kids to consider. We signed up for DHIR milk testing, Linear Appraisal, and ADGA Plus. We attended the Weld County Goat Extravaganza in Greeley, CO, the Wyoming Fuzzy Show in Torrington, WY, the South Dakota Dairy Goat Show in Huron, SD, and the WY State Fair. We were sad to lose our French Alpine herdsire, Iron-Rod Strength Singed.

Superior Genetics
Early kids for 2014, unexpectedly so, particularly for Cahuna at age 11! We did the ADGA PLUS program, so LA, DHIR, and DNA testing were on the year's docket. The herd moved to East Central Wyoming, and our new location had us much closer to the Wyoming shows. We are adding some purebred Alpine genetics from the lovely Iron-Rod herd. Thank you, Leslie! A very successful show season, with Bon Idee finishing at age 2, and Medesima winning BDIS at the Wyoming Fuzzy Show! We introduced many children to showing, which was a blast. Great LA scores, particularly the Excellent final scores for Medesima, King Julien, Legs, and Blythe!
In 2013, we renewed our DHIR status, and were on milk test again. Medesima and Tatic finished their championships at the Fuzzy Show in Torrington, WY. Jinglebob was GCH as an intermediate kid at the Tri-County CO show. Connexion was GCH as a senior kid at the Wyoming State Fair. Marvelle and Buttercup both had reserve junior champion wins as well. *B Mamm-Key Zephyr's King Julien joined us this fall as another herdsire.
We participated in Linear Appraisal in 2012, welcomed *B Chateau Briant's Bon Idee and Chateau Briant's Jacquard to our herd, and attended the Wyoming State Fair shows in August, where our goats won three reserve awards. It was a year of rebuilding!
In 2011, we had a strong crop of kids, after cutting herd numbers by nearly half. We took the year off of showing, LA, and DHIR, as we had our baby girl in October.
