Sonny at 3 years.
When Sonny showed up in 2020, I was just tickled with his looks, and very impressed with his manners. He is very easy-going and a pleasure to be around. His pedigree had already wowed me, as he is the genetic full sibling to the 2019 ADGA National Champion and Alpine Best Udder: SGCH Redwood Hills Klein Rosetta 12*M 4-05 & 6-05 both 93 EEEE! His dam, Reign On, has illustrious sisters in her own right, including Drops of Rain, Rainboots, Rima, and Drops of Respect. We are excited to see how Sonny crosses on our herd for 2021 kids. Thank you to Ann Summerton and Carole Tripp for giving us the opportunity to own him. Not shown in 2021 as we were not able to get his paperwork transferred in time.

Shyne at 4 years.
I continue to admire the Iron-Rod goats, and this breeding resonates with the direction I want to take my herd. I am thrilled at the opportunity to have Shyne. Thank you Leslie and Larry for entrusting him to us! Shyne is exeedingly long, tall, and dairy, in fact, very similar to his maternal half sister, Legs, also in our herd. Since we first saw Shatte in our 2014 visit to the Iron-Rod herd, she has only gotten better! She has been competitive at the National Show, placing 11th at age 4, 6th at age 6, and 7th at age 7. Her maternal 1/2 sister was the late 2014 National Champion, CH Iron-Rod STB Shelby. She also has a GCH daughter. On Shyne's paternal side, he brings back Sanstorms Super Shyne, a throwback to the herd where I obtained my very first doe, Sanstorms Enchanting Mitzi. Sheriff was the 2011 Premier Sire, has 6 offspring with permanent championships and three with superior genetics (SG) designations, and his son, Charmer, has also been named Premier Sire twice.
SHYNE HAS BEEN COLLECTED, SEMEN AVAILABLE. PLEASE INQUIRE.

Laureate at 18 months of age.
A great last-minute decision to be part of a purchase at Pleasant-Grove, Laureate combines some animals of historical interest to us with those that have been making a statement in the Midwest in the last several years. Laureate is super stretchy, has a tremendous topline, and a beautiful rear leg set. Please keep in mind that for his pictures and his yearling appraisal score that he remains very skittish and nervous. Thank you Craig Koopman for sending him this way to influence our French program. Laureate's first kids will be freshening in 2022: Sloane, Matisse, Magritte,

Locket was a late kid, but demonstrates beautiful width between the hocks, a wide and level rump, and strong body capacity for his age. This is an interesting line breeding on Trumpcard, with whom we have had much success.

This kid has been just smashing since the beginning of the 2021 kidding season. "Solo" is flat of topline and rib, sharp of withers and so correct in his leg sets. I can't wait to see what his first kids look like in 2022.

Malley at 6 months old.
We lost Malley's dam, Merry not long after his birth, so I wanted to keep him around. His rear leg set had impressed early on, and his dam's udder was so productive and well-attached, it would be lovely to pass it along. He is bred to a couple does for 2022 kids.

Jukebox at 5 months old.
We are pretty excited to get this cross of our genetics with another branch of Iron-Rod bloodlines from our friends at Stalwart Farms. Jukebox's maternal granddam, Jetski, named by my 4 year-old daughter, is a solid, all-around doe. Her udder is very snugly attached, and she is very easy to milk. She shows tremendous body capacity, and is long and very level. The Iron-Rod lines brought in here are stylish, deep bodied, and very correct. I also happen to love that he is sundgau!

Photo: Bon Idee at 3 years of age
An import from Maine, Bon Idee (in French: good idea) is our senior herdsire. Check out his pedigree made up entirely of Excellent scoring appraisal scores! I love the length, smoothness, and phenomenal udders that his sire, Samurai, has thrown in daughters at the Chateau Briant herd--GCH Baylee (5-02 91 EEVE) was 1st/1st yearling milker at the 2011 National Show, while GCH Jovial (5-03 92 EEEE) was 4th yearling milker at the 2011 National Show, and both does finished their championships as two year-olds, with seven champion offspring total. Bon Idee's dam, Braxton, was the 9th place dry yearling at the 2011 National Show and 11th place 4 year-old in 2014 (photo below). Her udder is beautifully attached and especially smooth in the fore udder.
Bon Idee has exceeded my original expectations. I am seeing a lot of width and brisket extension in his daughters. He has been complimented by judges for his dairy character, and admired for his tremendously long frame. He became a permanent champion at age 2 in 2014. His daughter Marvelle is producing in the milk pail (16# per day peak as a 2, 3, and 4 year-old), finishing her championship in 2017, and obtained an appraisal score of 90 (3-04 EEVV) in 2016. Madeira also had tremendous milk production. He continually produces does that are improvements over their dams, and showing increased milk production. Bon Idee died in 2019.
BON IDEE HAS BEEN COLLECTED. SEMEN AVAILABLE.
